Universal Studios Singapore (USS) is the first Universal Studios in South East Asia and the second in Asia (the only other Universal Studios is in Japan).
USS is located in Resorts World Sentosa on Sentosa Island in Singapore.

Universal Studios Singapore is the smallest Universal Studios in the world at 20 hectares (49 acres) in size. It’s even smaller than Hong Kong Disneyland (22.4 hectares) but bigger than Ocean Park Hong Kong (17 hectares).
Ticketing counters
We went there for two days, stayed at Festive Hotel and we bought our tickets online for SGD 226 (SGD 118 per adult), thus, we did not have to go through the hassle of queuing for tickets. We just printed our tickets and get them scanned at the turnstiles.

Despite the canopy, the weather was scorching hot. We bought a giant soft drink for ourselves and Ben & Jerry ice-cream for Jezebelle.

Beverly Hills Garage is where you can rent strollers and wheelchairs. Single strollers and double strollers are available for rent. Single stroller costs SGD 10 per day while double stroller costs SGD 15 for a full day.

You don’t need to have twins to rent a double stroller as a double stroller is wider and more spacious so it allows you to put your bags besides your toddler. We rented a single stroller on the first day and managed to rent a double stroller on the second day.

Plenty of lockers are available for rent in Universal Studios Singapore though the bigger ones are only available near the entrance of Universal Studios Singapore and besides Beverly Hills Garage. We rented one of the bigger lockers on the first day as the check-in time for our hotel was after 2:00pm.

The food was quite pleasant. What’s surprising was the celebrities characters do drop by when you’re having a munch and when were we in there, guess who dropped by? Frankenstein’s Monster.

Battlestar Galactica: Human vs. Cylon is a pair of steel, dueling roller coasters based on the popular TV series Battlestar Galactica. It is possibly the most anticipated ride in Universal Studios Singapore but unfortunately, due to a technical glitch, the ride was closed just one week after its opening. According to the latest report by Resorts World Sentosa, Battlestar Galactica was under repair and will be up by first half of 2011.

Special Encounter with King Julien
We spotted King Julien playfully dive onto a table shocking the hell out of some kids sitting around the table.
Out of the blue, King Julien spotted Princess Jezebelle in a stroller and Angel voluntarily let him grabbed the stroller he grabbed the stroller from Angel and gave Jezebelle the spin of her lifetime. Check out the video below (which I compiled using series of photos I shot): -

Universal Studios Singapore’s Hollywood zone is opened from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm every Friday and Saturday for only $5 per entry. You can dine and shop in USS’s Hollywood zone. In addition to that, you can also witness Lake Hollywood Spectacular, a pyrotechnics show at 9:30pm.

- The tickets for Universal Studios Singapore are sold out fast unlike those in U.S.A., therefore, it’s a no-brainer to buy the tickets in advance.
- Double strollers are rented out quickly, so be there early.
- The bigger lockers are also usually snapped up quickly early of the day.
