The Three Monkeys Coffee & Tea House @ Brisbane, Australia
Do you like this story?
The Three Monkeys Coffee & Tea House was our first stop after we reached Brisbane. We parked our rented car in Secure Parking car park at Cordelia Street for a flat rate of A$10.00 as it was a Sunday (weekend rate).

The Three Monkeys Coffee & Tea House
The Three Monkeys Coffee & Tea House is a cosy cafe in West End, Brisbane and has been a favorite hangout place for students, travelers and West-End residents for many years. The fact that it is listed as number one out of 182 things to do in Brisbane on Lonely Planet made this a place not to be missed since we didn’t plan to stay too long in Brisbane.

Betty Boop decorative
The interior was filled with Betty Boop decorative you could be sure the owner loves Betty Boop.

Cakes selection
Besides its coffees and chai teas, The Three Monkeys is famous for its delicious cakes.

Jars of cookies

Beef Lasagne
Beef Lasagne was pleasing and very filling, it almost instantly made us forget about our hunger. Since this was brunch, it was our first meal since we arrived in Gold Coast.

Chocolate cake and some whipped cream
The slice of chocolate cake was deliciously sinful. The three of us ate it like zombies chewing on a fallen victim.

Cappuccino
Cappuccino was just lovely but the our table (near the counter) was close to the air-conditioner which in turn, made the drink quickly become cold.

Chai Tea
Chai tea was a favorite among the patrons. Some even claimed Three Monkeys has the best chai tea. As chai tea was made with tea and ginger, it has hints of spiciness and sweetness at the same time. It was alright, neither of us are fans of teas.

The Gunshop Cafe
The Three Monkeys Coffee & Tea House is located just opposite The Gunshop Cafe. There are plenty of cafes in every corner of West End. We would love to visit them all but unfortunately we had to leave for Sunshine Coast.
Overall, The Three Monkeys Coffee & Tea House is the place to be for good coffees, teas and good food. It has great ambiance, lovely hippie deco and great atmosphere. We certainly wouldn’t mind to spend more time there any time of the day.
