Destination Patong Hotel and Spa, formerly known as Courtyard by Marriott Phuket at Patong Beach was our accommodation in Patong Beach, Phuket. Although it doesn’t have a private beach nor a direct access to one, Patong Beach is just a short walking distance away.

Since April 1, Courtyard by Marriott in Patong was re-branded as Destination Patong Hotel and Spa.

However, for the sake of this review, the hotel name would be aptly titled as its former since the stay took place prior to April 1, 2002.

Kids World was one of the reasons we chose to stay here.

When we came back from Kids World, we were surprised to receive a little gift from the hotel on our bed.

The basket consists of dried version of mango, papaya, pineapple and cantaloupe.

Buffet breakfast at MoMo Cafe

Our stay includes buffet breakfast for 2 for both days.

It was known as Courtyard by Marriott during our stay

Courtyard by Marriott Phuket at Patong Beach was strategically located at Patong Beach with plenty of restaurants and shops nearby although it took us quite awhile to walk to Jungceylon. The hotel is 40 km from Phuket International Airport.

However, it houses Phuket’s only Hard Rock Café although they are both not affiliated.

Overall, Courtyard by Marriott Phuket at Patong Beach was somewhat a delightful experience with almost everything being taken care of. The only downside was the pool on the 7th floor, which we felt there was too much chlorine in it as our skin instantly became itchy after our swim. Other than that, there was no one came to help with our luggage. Otherwise, the hotel would certainly be the only highlight of our stay at Patong Beach.
