Australian ETA Application or Australian Electronic Travel Authority is a requirement for traveling into Australia.
What is ETA?
An ETA is equivalent to a visa, but there is no stamp or label in your passport and there is no need for you to visit an Australian diplomatic office to submit an application. Applications for ETAs can be submitted through travel agents or airlines. ETA can also be applied online for eligible passports.

How much is ETA?
Application for ETA online through Australian Government’s ETA website are subject to a service charge of AUD$20.00. The cards accepted are American Express, Diners Club, JCB, Mastercard and Visa. As successful and unsuccessful applications use system resources, the charge is non-refundable.

What’s Next?
Once your ETA is approved, you do not need any label in your passport as it has been recorded in Australian immigration’s database. You get to travel to Australia for up to 3 months on any one visit and the ETA is valid up to one year. The ETA is valid for multiple entries which means you can travel to Gold Coast for the entire summer and then to Melbourne for winter!
